Job Summary:

Amazon is seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Lead to oversee and manage key operational processes within our fulfillment centers. As an Operations Lead, you will ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operations across the site by managing a team, driving continuous improvements, and maintaining operational excellence. You will be a critical part of a fast-paced environment and have the opportunity to shape the success of the operations team, all while contributing to Amazons overarching goals of providing excellent service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Oversee and guide a team of associates, providing support and leadership in the day-to-day operations. Responsible for performance reviews, feedback, coaching, and training.
  • Operational Efficiency: Monitor daily operational processes, ensuring performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met consistently. Implement and manage strategies for enhancing productivity, minimizing errors, and optimizing workflows.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement by analyzing data, identifying root causes of inefficiencies, and driving solutions.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures while maintaining a focus on creating a safe working environment. Monitor all activities for adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with other teams within the facility to ensure cross-functional processes are running smoothly. Communicate effectively with senior leaders, providing updates and reporting on operational performance.
  • Problem Solving: Address operational challenges promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Provide timely resolutions and root-cause analysis.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in operations, logistics, or related fields.
  • Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment (preferably in operations, logistics, or a warehouse setting).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using operational tools and software, including warehouse management systems (WMS) and other data analysis tools.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in an operational leadership role, ideally within a large-scale fulfillment center, distribution center, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in managing teams and driving operational performance improvements.
  • Hands-on experience with process optimization, inventory management, and the execution of operational strategies.
  • Familiarity with lean processes, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position with flexible hours depending on operational needs. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.
  • Some on-call responsibilities and overtime may be necessary based on operational demands.

  • Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
  • Operational Knowledge: Understanding of supply chain management, warehouse operations, and logistics processes.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to identify issues and implement corrective actions quickly and effectively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using technology and systems to manage operations and generate reports.
