Job Summary:

As a Logistics Operations Manager at Amazon Fulfillment Center, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day operations of the fulfillment center, ensuring smooth logistics processes, and driving improvements in operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the fulfillment centers logistics operations, ensuring the timely and efficient movement of products.
  • Lead a team of supervisors and associates to meet or exceed performance and operational goals.
  • Monitor key performance metrics (KPI) such as on-time shipping, productivity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify areas for operational improvement and drive solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including inventory control, customer service, and transportation to optimize logistics processes.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards within the fulfillment center.
  • Manage staffing levels and schedules to maintain operational capacity.
  • Conduct regular training and development sessions for staff to ensure operational proficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Amazons policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and process adjustments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics, warehouse management, or supply chain operations, preferably in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other logistics software.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse management, or operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in managing teams and overseeing operations within a fulfillment or distribution center is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Proven track record of meeting operational targets and driving process improvements.

Working Hours:

  • This is a full-time position. You may be required to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on operational needs.
  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM � 5 PM, with potential for shift work during peak seasons.
