Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Home Care Scheduler/Coordinator to join our team on a night shift and on-call basis. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless scheduling and coordination of home care services. Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate home care services for clients, ensuring timely and appropriate caregiver assignments.
- Respond promptly to on-call inquiries and emergencies during night shifts.
- Maintain accurate client and caregiver records in scheduling software.
- Communicate with clients, families, and caregivers to address concerns or changes in service plans.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations related to home care services.
- Provide clear instructions and updates to caregivers regarding schedules and client needs.
- Monitor caregiver availability and manage last-minute schedule adjustments.
- Generate daily reports and maintain accurate logs for all activities during the shift.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelors degree in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Knowledge of home care services, healthcare regulations, and caregiver management.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in scheduling, coordination, or a similar role, preferably in the home care or healthcare sector.
- Previous experience handling night shifts and on-call responsibilities is highly desirable.
Working Hours
- Night shifts with on-call responsibilities, typically between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
- Flexibility to address urgent client or caregiver issues during these hours.
