Job Summary
Cigna is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Remote Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional support through various communication channels. You will assist customers with inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure that their experience with Cigna is seamless and positive. Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide accurate, timely, and helpful information regarding Cigna products and services.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints, concerns, and requests efficiently while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Document customer interactions in the system, ensuring all information is recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Process claims, payments, and requests for policy updates as needed, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues with accounts, products, or services and escalate matters when necessary.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay up to date with new product offerings and company protocols.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve customer experience and resolve complex issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and company policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a customer service role, ideally within a call center or healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality service.
- Basic proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals and objectives.
- A high level of empathy and patience when dealing with customers.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, preferably in the healthcare or insurance industry.
- Experience working in a remote role or managing a home office environment is a plus.
Working Hours
- This is a full-time remote position.
- Shifts are flexible, but availability during standard business hours is required, including some evenings and weekends as necessary.
- You may be required to work holidays based on business needs.

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse customer base.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism during challenging customer interactions.
