Job Summary:

American Airlines is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented IT Inventory Support Specialist to join our Warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, tracking, and supporting the inventory of IT equipment and hardware within our warehouse operations. You will ensure that the inventory is well-maintained, accurate, and meets the companys operational needs. This is a critical role in supporting our internal systems and ensuring smooth IT operations across American Airlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the IT inventory in the warehouse, ensuring accurate tracking of hardware, software, and IT components.
  • Maintain and update records in inventory management systems to reflect accurate stock levels and equipment status.
  • Perform routine audits and cycle counts of IT assets to ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate the receiving, storing, and distribution of IT equipment, ensuring that all items are properly logged and secured.
  • Collaborate with the IT and Operations teams to monitor stock levels, track asset movement, and fulfill orders in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports on inventory status, trends, and potential issues.
  • Support the repair, refurbishment, and repurposing of IT assets as required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies related to inventory items, working closely with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management, inventory control, or IT support roles.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar tools).
  • Basic knowledge of IT hardware, software, and electronic equipment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and vendors.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving IT equipment.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT warehouse, inventory support, or similar operational role.
  • Experience with inventory management and tracking systems.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced or high-demand environment is preferred.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends may be required depending on warehouse needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control processes.
  • Proficient with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
