As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a seamless experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inbound customer calls, emails, and chat messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and issues related to healthcare services, billing, claims, and policy information.
  • Provide clear and accurate information to customers, ensuring they fully understand their options and the services available.
  • Process customer requests for claims, billing inquiries, and coverage details, following company policies and procedures.
  • Record and document customer interactions in the system for future reference.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including claims and billing departments, to resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering excellent service in every interaction.
  • Stay updated on Cignas products, services, and healthcare regulations to provide accurate and relevant information to customers.
  • Continuously meet or exceed performance metrics, including call resolution times and customer satisfaction ratings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the healthcare or insurance industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote setting.
  • Proficiency in using customer service software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Empathy and patience when handling difficult or frustrated customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle high-stress situations effectively.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience, with a preference for experience in the healthcare or insurance sectors.
  • Experience working remotely or in a virtual environment is a plus.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time, remote position.
  • Flexible working hours with shifts between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional weekends or overtime may be required based on business needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth understanding of Cignas products and services, or the ability to quickly learn and retain this information.
  • Exceptional active listening skills and the ability to address customer needs effectively.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to accurately process transactions and data.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple customer inquiries simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
