Job Summary:
Aetna, a leading health insurance provider, is looking for dedicated and motivated individuals to join our customer service team as a Work From Home Customer Service Representative. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional customer support in the healthcare industry. You will be the first point of contact for members, helping them navigate their healthcare options and ensuring they have a positive experience with Aetna. Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound calls and inquiries from Aetna members, addressing a variety of questions related to their health insurance plans, coverage, and benefits.
- Assist members with understanding their benefits, resolving issues, and processing claims or changes to their policies.
- Provide accurate and timely information regarding plan options, claims status, and health services.
- Educate members on how to access their benefits effectively and resolve any concerns regarding their accounts.
- Document and update member interactions and inquiries in our CRM system.
- Follow up on unresolved issues to ensure full resolution and member satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and privacy laws.
- Work collaboratively with other departments, such as billing and claims, to provide comprehensive support to members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with office software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think critically.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for helping others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities.
- Previous experience in customer service or the healthcare industry is a plus but not required.
Experience:
- No prior experience is required for this entry-level position.
- Experience in a customer service role, call center, or healthcare setting is an advantage but not mandatory.
Working Hours:
- This is a full-time remote position.
- The working hours may vary depending on business needs but are typically between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM (EST), Monday through Friday.
- Occasional weekend shifts may be required based on scheduling and call volume.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of health insurance terminology and policies is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Skills: Strong phone etiquette, excellent listening skills, and proficiency in data entry and navigating online systems.
- Abilities: Ability to remain calm and professional while addressing member concerns, ability to handle high call volumes, and capacity to maintain a positive and helpful attitude at all times.
