Job Summary

Waste Management Jobs is seeking dedicated and reliable Waste Collectors to join our team. As a Waste Collector, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and environmental sustainability in our communities. Key Responsibilities

• Collect residential and commercial waste and recyclables from designated locations.
• Operate waste collection vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of various types of waste, adhering to all regulations and safety guidelines.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on collection vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and report any issues or irregularities to supervisors.
• Assist in loading and unloading waste containers and ensure proper sanitation of vehicles post-collection.
• Educate the public about waste management practices and recycling programs.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely and effective waste collection.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 lbs).
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of waste management practices and environmental regulations is a plus.

Experience

• Previous experience in waste collection, driving, or a similar field is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with local waste management policies and procedures is advantageous.

Working Hours

• Full-time position; working hours may vary based on collection routes.
• Early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays, may be required.
