Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking an experienced International Tax Manager to oversee our personal income tax operations for Germany and the Netherlands. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with local tax regulations while optimizing our tax strategies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of international tax frameworks, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize personal income tax compliance for clients in Germany and the Netherlands.
  • Analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide strategic advice.
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities and stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and resolution of tax-related matters.
  • Prepare and review tax returns and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on our operations and clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide tax planning advice and support.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members on tax-related matters.
  • Participate in audits and reviews conducted by external auditors or tax authorities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a related field; a Masters degree or CPA/CTA qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in international tax, particularly in personal income tax for Germany and the Netherlands.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in tax software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; proficiency in German and Dutch is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a tax advisory or management role, preferably within a multinational corporation or consulting firm.
  • Experience with tax planning and compliance for expatriates and international assignments.
  • Familiarity with cross-border taxation issues and their implications for clients.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position, with standard working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Flexibility may be required during peak tax seasons or project deadlines.
