Job Summary:

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Automation QA / Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of our software products. Your expertise will help identify defects early in the development process, contributing to the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client needs and exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for software applications.
• Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and create effective test cases.
• Execute automated and manual test scenarios to identify defects and ensure the software meets the desired quality standards.
• Analyze test results, document defects, and track issues through resolution.
• Perform regression testing to ensure new changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Continuously improve testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Provide clear and concise test reports and feedback to the development team.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of coding standards and best practices.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate best practices into testing processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Automation QA / Testing Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# for writing test scripts.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.
• Experience working in agile development environments is preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality software products.

Working Hours:

• Full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Flexibility in working hours may be required based on project needs and deadlines.

• Deep understanding of automated testing principles and practices.
• Ability to design and implement complex test scenarios and frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.

• Proficiency in using test management tools and defect tracking systems.
