Job Summary:

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking an experienced and dynamic Mine Manager to lead our mining operations. As a Mine Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the mining process, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations. You will play a critical role in managing a team, optimizing production, and adhering to regulatory standards. This position requires a proactive leader with a deep understanding of mining operations and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day mining operations, including drilling, blasting, and extraction processes. Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with safety regulations and operational guidelines.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, geologists, and mining personnel. Foster a positive work environment and promote professional development.
• Production Management: Develop and implement production plans to meet project goals and deadlines. Monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to optimize performance.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols are strictly followed. Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain a safe working environment.
• Budget Management: Oversee the financial aspects of the mining operations, including budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all environmental and mining regulations. Prepare and submit necessary reports and documentation to regulatory agencies.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including senior management, government officials, and community representatives. Address any concerns or issues promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Mine Manager or in a similar leadership role within the mining industry.
• Strong knowledge of mining operations, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in mining operations, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale mining projects and leading diverse teams.
• Proven track record of achieving production targets and maintaining high safety standards.

Working Hours:

• Full-time position with standard working hours of 40-45 hours per week. Flexibility may be required based on operational needs, including potential overtime or weekend work.
