Job Summary:

The Elite Job is seeking a dedicated and reliable Drivers and Truck Assistant to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. As a Drivers and Truck Assistant, you will support our drivers by assisting with vehicle maintenance, loading and unloading goods, and ensuring timely deliveries. Your contribution will be crucial in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist drivers in the safe and timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
• Help with the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring that all items are securely packed and handled with care.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of trucks, including checking fluid levels, tire conditions, and overall vehicle cleanliness.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and any incidents or issues encountered during transit.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including those related to road safety and handling hazardous materials.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any queries or concerns from clients regarding their deliveries.
• Support drivers with navigation and route planning to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency.
• Assist with administrative tasks related to transportation and logistics as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with vehicle maintenance.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to safety and compliance.

Experience:

• Prior experience in a driving or truck assistant role is preferred, but not mandatory.
