Job Summary:

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. As a Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficient operation of our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining our servers, networks, and other critical systems to support our business operations. Key Responsibilities:

• System Management: Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and network equipment to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Network Administration: Oversee network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Security: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect the organizations data and IT assets from cyber threats. Conduct regular security assessments and updates.
• Backup and Recovery: Manage backup solutions and disaster recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability. Perform regular backup tests and restorations.
• Support: Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and offering guidance on system use.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incidents.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT staff and departments to implement technology solutions that support business goals and improve efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), network protocols, and IT security.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Systems Administrator or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with network management, server administration, and IT support.
• Experience in a consultancy environment is a plus, but not required.

Working Hours:

• Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed for system maintenance or emergency support.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
