Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately review and code medical records using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Prepare and submit insurance claims to ensure proper and timely reimbursement.
• Verify and correct patient information and insurance details to prevent claim denials.
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, working with insurance companies and healthcare providers to resolve issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations in handling patient information.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing and coding practices, including updates to coding systems and regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and internal teams to ensure smooth billing operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare procedures.
• Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling data.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies.
• Proficiency in using medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex billing scenarios.

Experience:

• No prior experience required; however, any experience or coursework related to medical billing, coding, or healthcare administration is a plus.
• Recent graduates with a degree or certification in medical billing and coding are encouraged to apply.

Working Hours:

• Full-time position with standard working hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Occasional overtime may be required based on workload and deadlines.
