HR Service Jobs is seeking a dedicated and skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in El Paso, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing top-tier technical support and troubleshooting for desktop and laptop systems, ensuring that all IT operations run smoothly. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for desktop and laptop systems, including hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and drivers.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to end-users.
- Assist with network connectivity issues and coordinate with network engineers for complex problems.
- Manage and track IT assets, including inventory and lifecycle management.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of support activities, procedures, and solutions.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to resolve complex technical issues and implement improvements.
- Provide end-user training and support to enhance their technical proficiency and productivity.
- Ensure adherence to IT policies, security protocols, and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Experience with common desktop applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, and remote desktop tools.
- Strong understanding of hardware components and peripheral devices.
- Knowledge of network protocols and basic networking concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a desktop support or IT support role.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or equivalent are preferred.
- Proven experience in a corporate or enterprise environment is highly desirable.
Working Hours:
- Full-time position with standard working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Occasional after-hours support may be required based on operational needs.
