HR Service Jobs is seeking a highly skilled System Support Engineer to join our dynamic team at Technopark, Trivandrum. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving abilities to support and maintain our IT systems. This role involves ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our infrastructure while providing exceptional support to end-users.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain server and network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting and resolving system problems.
- System Upgrades: Implement system updates and patches, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Incident Management: Manage and resolve technical incidents, including escalating issues as necessary and communicating status updates to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT professionals and departments to integrate new technologies and enhance system functionality.
- Security: Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard systems against vulnerabilities and unauthorized access.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a systems support or IT support role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, network protocols, and system monitoring tools.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are preferred.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in system support or a related field.
- Experience with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Proven track record of managing and resolving technical issues efficiently.
Working Hours
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Flexibility to work outside regular hours may be required for urgent issues.
