HR Service Jobs is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Junior Medical Coder to join our team at the Delhi Heart Hospital. The ideal candidate will assist in the accurate coding and documentation of medical diagnoses and procedures. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems. The Junior Medical Coder will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that all coding is compliant with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to patient charts.
• Verify the completeness and accuracy of patient data and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational coding standards and practices.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies in coding and documentation.
• Maintain and update coding reference materials and resources.
• Participate in regular audits to ensure coding accuracy and address any issues identified.
• Provide support and training to junior team members as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Familiarity with medical coding software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience

• Previous experience in medical coding or a related field is preferred.
• Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is a plus.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements is advantageous.

Working Hours

• Full-time position.
• Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
• Occasional overtime may be required based on workload and deadlines.
