HK Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team on a part-time contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the finance department with various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions. Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between bank statements and internal records.
  • Expense Reporting: Manage employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Data Entry: Input financial data into accounting software and maintain digital and physical filing systems.
  • Assistance with Month-End Close: Support the finance team during month-end closing procedures by preparing necessary reports and documentation.
  • General Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
