We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team at HK Consultancy. The ideal candidate will assist in interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing ongoing reports. You will work closely with our senior analysts to ensure data accuracy and accessibility, and support decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and preprocess data for analysis purposes.
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports.
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Junior Data Analyst or relevant internship experience.
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, etc.), databases (SQL, etc.), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks).
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience as a Junior Data Analyst or relevant internship experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• High-level proficiency in Excel and other statistical software.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
