Job Summary:

As a Customer Service Representative at Cigna, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing essential support and guidance regarding their health plans. Your role is crucial in ensuring a positive customer experience, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting customers in understanding their benefits and claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide accurate information regarding health plans, benefits, and claims.
  • Assist customers in navigating Cigna online resources and tools.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints with empathy and efficiency.
  • Document and update customer records in the system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Educate customers on preventive health measures and wellness programs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in the healthcare or insurance industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are a plus.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or insurance customer service role is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with health insurance plans and terminology is preferred.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position with flexible working hours to accommodate various time zones.
  • Availability to work occasional weekends and holidays as needed.
