As a Data Center Operations Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the critical infrastructure that supports Amazon cloud computing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate data center equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshoot any issues related to hardware, networking, and other infrastructure components.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and engineers to implement new processes and technologies.
• Respond to and resolve data center incidents promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of maintenance activities and system performance.
• Assist in the setup and deployment of new data center equipment.
• Follow strict protocols and security measures to ensure data center integrity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or an associate degree in a related field is a plus.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends.

Experience

• No prior experience required, though previous experience in IT, networking, or data center environments is advantageous.

Working Hours

• Full-time position with rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Familiarity with data center best practices and operational procedures.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems is preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
