Job Title: Accounts Payable & GL Accountant (Malaysia)

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable & GL Accountant to join our team in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and timely, including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and analysis as needed.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure proper documentation and approval of invoices and expenses.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts payable and general ledger accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

• Accounts Payable: 3 years (Required)
• General Ledger Accounting: 3 years (Required)

Working Hours:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday. Flexible hours may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting regulations and standards.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, or Oracle.
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
