Job Title: Officer Procurement

Job Summary:

As an Officer Procurement at Eskom, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services vital to Eskom operations. Your role will involve strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, and compliance oversight, contributing directly to Eskom mission of providing reliable and affordable electricity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and develop sourcing strategies.
  • Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to contract execution and delivery.
  • Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with contractual agreements and procurement policies.
  • Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices to optimize procurement processes and achieve cost savings.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and vendor information.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement, preferably within the energy or utilities sector.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations, contract law, and ethical sourcing practices.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position, standard office hours.
