Job Summary
Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Remote HR Generalist to join our growing team. This full-time, work-from-home position is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and can manage a wide range of human resource functions. The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting daily HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance, while ensuring a positive employee experience across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company standards
Handle employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality
Maintain and update employee records and HR databases
Support performance management processes, including appraisals and feedback cycles
Coordinate training and development initiatives
Assist in payroll coordination, benefits administration, and leave management
Provide HR insights and recommendations to improve organizational effectiveness
Ensure smooth communication between management and employees
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High level of organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office tools
Ability to work independently in a remote setup
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Experience
Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a generalist HR role
Experience handling multiple HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations
Prior remote work experience is an advantage
Working Hours
Full-time position
Flexible working hours with overlap required during core business hours
Monday to Friday work schedule (may vary based on business needs)
