Job Summary
Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Payroll Executive to join our remote workforce. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in payroll and human resources while working from the comfort of their home. The Payroll Executive will assist in processing employee salaries, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll on a regular schedule.
Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including attendance, leaves, and deductions.
Verify timesheets and resolve discrepancies in payroll data.
Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
Handle employee queries related to salary, payslips, and deductions.
Generate payroll reports for internal use and audits.
Support month-end and year-end payroll activities.
Coordinate with HR and Finance teams for smooth payroll operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Basic understanding of payroll processes and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Experience

Prior internship or academic exposure to payroll/accounting will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.
Working Hours
Full-time remote position.
Standard working hours: 8–9 hours per day (flexibility may be provided based on business needs).
Weekend availability may be required during payroll cycles.

Understanding of income tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory components.
