Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Kenya. Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
Manage the general ledger, month-end and year-end closing processes.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and statutory requirements in Kenya.
Conduct financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.
Develop and implement financial controls and policies to safeguard company assets.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business strategy.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
Monitor budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience
Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience.
Proven experience in a senior accounting or supervisory role.
Experience working within a corporate or multinational environment is an added advantage.
Working Hours
Full-time position.
Standard working hours: Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
Occasional extended hours may be required during financial closing periods or audits.
