Job Summary

GradeBuzz is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Current Affairs Analyst to join our dynamic content team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for curating, analyzing, and transforming daily news into engaging quiz formats and comprehensive monthly current affairs capsules tailored for competitive exam aspirants. This role demands a strong grasp of national and international events, excellent research skills, and the ability to present information in a concise, exam-oriented format.

Key Responsibilities

Research and track daily current affairs from reliable sources including newspapers, government releases, and credible digital platforms.

Create high-quality daily quizzes aligned with competitive exam patterns (UPSC, SSC, Banking, TNPSC, etc.).

Develop detailed monthly current affairs capsules with structured summaries, key highlights, and revision-friendly formats.

Ensure accuracy, relevance, and exam alignment of all content produced.

Categorize news into subjects such as Polity, Economy, International Relations, Science & Technology, Environment, and Miscellaneous.

Collaborate with academic and content teams to maintain consistency and quality standards.

Update and revise content based on changing exam trends and feedback.

Maintain a content calendar to ensure timely delivery of daily and monthly outputs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in any discipline; preference for candidates with backgrounds in Journalism, Political Science, or related fields.

Strong understanding of current affairs and competitive exam requirements.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Ability to simplify complex information into easy-to-understand content.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Proficiency in MS Word, Google Docs, and content management tools.

Experience

1–3 years of experience in current affairs content creation, academic content development, or a similar role.

Freshers with strong subject knowledge and writing skills may also be considered.

Prior experience in EdTech or competitive exam preparation platforms is an added advantage.

Working Hours

Full-time role with standard working hours (9:30 AM to 6:30 PM).

Flexibility may be required during peak exam seasons or important national/international events.

Remote or hybrid working options may be available based on organizational needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

In-depth awareness of national and international current events.

Familiarity with exam patterns of UPSC, SSC, Banking, and State PSC exams.

Strong time management and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Attention to detail and commitment to content accuracy.

Creative approach to designing engaging quiz questions and revision materials.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
