Job Summary
GradeBuzz is seeking a highly skilled Core Web Vitals Specialist to lead frontend performance optimization across our digital platforms. This role focuses on enhancing user experience by improving loading performance, interactivity, and visual stability in line with Googles Core Web Vitals standards. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, designers, and product teams to deliver fast, responsive, and scalable web applications, particularly within our EdTech ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, monitor, and improve Core Web Vitals metrics (LCP, CLS, INP/FID) across web applications.
Conduct performance audits using tools like Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, WebPageTest, and Chrome DevTools.
Optimize frontend assets including images, fonts, JavaScript, and CSS for faster load times.
Implement lazy loading, code splitting, and efficient caching strategies.
Collaborate with frontend engineers to refactor performance bottlenecks in React/Next.js applications.
Establish performance budgets and ensure adherence across projects.
Continuously monitor real-user metrics (RUM) and synthetic testing data.
Work with DevOps teams to optimize CDN usage, server response times, and edge delivery.
Stay updated with evolving web performance standards and Google ranking factors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong understanding of Core Web Vitals and web performance principles.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js).
Experience with performance profiling tools and debugging techniques.
Knowledge of browser rendering processes, critical rendering path, and resource prioritization.
Familiarity with CDN configuration and caching mechanisms.
Understanding of SEO principles related to page speed and performance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience
3–6 years of experience in frontend development or performance engineering.
Proven track record of improving web performance metrics in production environments.
Experience working on high-traffic websites or scalable web platforms is preferred.
Prior experience in EdTech or SaaS environments is a plus.
