Job Summary

GradeBuzz is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and evolution of our EdTech platform architecture, with a strong focus on AI-driven learning solutions. Key Responsibilities

Architect and design scalable, resilient, and high-performance backend and frontend systems for EdTech platforms.

Lead the integration of AI/ML models into production systems, including recommendation engines, adaptive learning, and analytics tools.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and data scientists to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Drive engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, CI/CD, and system reliability.

Mentor and guide senior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Evaluate and implement modern technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve system performance and developer productivity.

Ensure system security, data privacy, and compliance with industry standards.

Participate in strategic planning and contribute to long-term technology roadmaps.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Strong expertise in system architecture, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or Go.

Hands-on experience with AI/ML integration, APIs, and data pipelines.

Deep understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful services.

Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js) and backend frameworks (Node.js, Django, Spring Boot).

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Experience

8+ years of professional software engineering experience.

3+ years in a senior or staff-level engineering role.

Proven experience in designing large-scale applications and integrating AI/ML solutions.

Prior experience in EdTech or SaaS platforms is highly preferred.
