Job Summary

GradeBuzz is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Content Writer to lead the creation and delivery of high-quality daily current affairs content and government job notifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of competitive exams such as SSC, UPSC, Banking, and State-level exams, along with a passion for simplifying complex information into engaging, accurate, and student-friendly content. This role plays a critical part in helping aspirants stay informed, prepared, and ahead in their exam journey.

Key Responsibilities

Research, curate, and write daily current affairs content aligned with competitive exam requirements

Create accurate and timely government job notifications, including eligibility, deadlines, and application processes

Ensure content is SEO-friendly and optimized for web and mobile platforms

Collaborate with editorial, design, and product teams to enhance content presentation and reach

Maintain consistency in tone, quality, and factual accuracy across all published materials

Monitor trends in exams and adapt content strategy accordingly

Review and edit content created by junior writers to ensure quality standards

Develop weekly/monthly compilations, quizzes, and revision materials for users

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Journalism, English, Mass Communication, or related field

Strong command of written English with excellent grammar and vocabulary

Deep understanding of current affairs and government exam patterns

Ability to simplify complex topics into easy-to-understand content

Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization techniques

Proficiency in content management systems and basic digital tools

Strong research and analytical skills

Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in content writing, preferably in the EdTech or competitive exam domain

Proven experience in writing current affairs, GK content, or government job-related updates

Prior experience in mentoring or leading a content team is an added advantage

Working Hours

Full-time role

5–6 working days per week

Flexible working hours with a focus on meeting daily publishing deadlines
