Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a passionate and engaging Weekend Online Coding Mentor – Python for Kids to inspire young learners and introduce them to the fundamentals of programming. In this role, you will teach Python in a fun, interactive, and beginner-friendly way to children aged 8–16 through virtual classes.

The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about education, patient with young learners, and capable of simplifying programming concepts into engaging lessons. This role is perfect for educators, software developers, or coding enthusiasts who want to share their knowledge while working remotely on weekends.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct engaging online coding classes focused on Python programming for children and teenagers.

Design and deliver beginner-friendly lessons covering programming basics, logic building, and simple projects.

Guide students through hands-on exercises, coding challenges, and mini-projects.

Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning.

Encourage creativity and problem-solving through project-based learning activities.

Maintain a supportive and interactive online classroom environment.

Collaborate with curriculum coordinators to improve lesson content and teaching methods.

Assist students in troubleshooting coding errors and understanding debugging techniques.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proficiency in Python programming and fundamental programming concepts.

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics in simple terms.

Ability to engage and motivate children in an online learning environment.

Basic knowledge of educational tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, or online coding platforms.

Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners.

Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote teaching setup.

Experience

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field preferred.

Prior experience teaching coding, mentoring students, or conducting workshops is highly desirable.

Experience working with children or in online education platforms is an advantage.

Fresh graduates with strong Python skills and teaching passion are also encouraged to apply.

Working Hours

Part-time weekend role

Saturday and Sunday availability required

Approximately 6–10 hours per weekend, depending on class schedules

Fully remote / work-from-home position
