Job Summary

As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in managing financial reporting, maintaining general ledger accuracy, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, product, and operations to support financial decision-making and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate financial records and proper account reconciliations.

Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and financial reporting.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.

Monitor revenue recognition related to gaming products, digital platforms, and technology services.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.

Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries.

Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and reporting standards.

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement efficient workflows.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to support strategic financial initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is preferred.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently in a remote work environment.

Experience

Minimum 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in technology, gaming, or digital entertainment industries.

Proven experience handling general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Experience with revenue recognition for digital products or subscription-based services is an advantage.

Prior experience working with remote teams or distributed organizations is preferred.

Working Hours

Full-time remote position.

Standard working hours: Monday to Friday.

Flexibility may be required during month-end closing periods and financial reporting deadlines.
