Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage external and internal audit engagements for publicly listed companies.

Review financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory frameworks, and audit standards.

Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audit assignments within deadlines.

Supervise, mentor, and develop audit team members to maintain high-quality deliverables.

Evaluate internal controls, risk management processes, and financial reporting systems.

Communicate audit findings, recommendations, and risk assessments to senior management and stakeholders.

Coordinate with finance teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies when necessary.

Identify process improvements and implement best practices to strengthen internal controls.

Ensure adherence to professional auditing standards and company policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or ACCA preferred.

Strong understanding of public company reporting requirements and compliance standards.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proven leadership and team management abilities.

Advanced proficiency in accounting and audit software.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a remote environment.

Experience

8–12+ years of progressive experience in auditing or public accounting.

At least 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory role leading audit teams.

Prior experience auditing public companies or working with regulatory compliance requirements.

Experience in large accounting firms or corporate audit departments is highly desirable.
