Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Senior – Private Equity Compliance to join our remote finance and compliance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex tax compliance processes for private equity clients, ensuring accuracy, regulatory adherence, and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in partnership taxation, private equity structures, and regulatory tax filings. This role requires analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment. As a Tax Senior, you will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless tax compliance and reporting for private equity portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal, state, and international tax returns related to private equity funds and partnerships.

Ensure accurate compliance with tax regulations applicable to private equity structures.

Analyze financial statements and partnership allocations for tax reporting purposes.

Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, and internal finance teams on tax-related matters.

Manage tax filings, including partnership returns, investor reporting, and supporting documentation.

Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation of new compliance requirements.

Support tax planning initiatives and provide recommendations for improving tax efficiency.

Maintain detailed records and documentation for audit readiness.

Mentor junior staff and assist in reviewing their tax work to ensure quality and compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.

Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or equivalent preferred.

Strong knowledge of private equity fund structures and partnership taxation.

Proficiency in tax preparation software and financial reporting tools.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis and tax calculations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote work environment.

Experience

4–7 years of experience in tax compliance, preferably within private equity, asset management, or public accounting.

Proven experience preparing and reviewing partnership tax returns.

Experience working with complex investment structures and multi-entity reporting.

Prior experience in a remote or distributed team environment is a plus.

Working Hours

Full-time remote position.

Standard working schedule: Monday to Friday.
