Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Senior Staff Accountant – Cybersecurity SaaS to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting the organizations strategic growth within the rapidly evolving cybersecurity SaaS industry.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting knowledge, experience in SaaS financial operations, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fully remote environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting compliance requirements, and providing valuable insights that help drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting activities including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.

Support revenue recognition processes related to SaaS subscription models.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales operations, billing, and finance to maintain accurate financial records.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.

Coordinate with external auditors and assist in annual audit processes.

Monitor compliance with financial regulations, policies, and internal controls.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within accounting workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and SaaS revenue models.

Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including financial modeling and data analysis.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.

Experience

Minimum 5+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably within SaaS, technology, or cybersecurity companies.

Experience with subscription-based revenue accounting and financial close cycles.

Previous experience supporting financial audits and compliance reporting is highly preferred.

CPA certification or progress toward certification is considered an advantage.

Working Hours

Full-time remote position

Flexible working hours depending on business needs

Standard expectation of 40 hours per week with occasional availability during financial close periods.
