Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Senior Auditor – Insurance & Reinsurance to join our growing professional services team. This role is responsible for leading and executing audit engagements for insurance and reinsurance clients while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, financial reporting frameworks, and internal controls.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, experience auditing insurance or reinsurance companies, and the ability to manage complex audit assignments independently. As a Senior Auditor, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior auditors, and provide valuable insights that support clients in improving operational efficiency and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage audit engagements for insurance and reinsurance clients from planning through completion.

Evaluate financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory reporting standards.

Review internal control frameworks and identify areas of risk, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

Analyze insurance-specific financial components including premiums, reserves, claims liabilities, and reinsurance contracts.

Prepare and review audit documentation, reports, and recommendations.

Collaborate with finance teams, actuaries, and regulatory professionals to ensure accurate reporting.

Mentor and guide junior audit staff while maintaining high-quality audit standards.

Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly to management and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional certification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.

Strong understanding of auditing standards, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in accounting and audit software tools.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.

Strong communication and report-writing skills.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Experience

Minimum 5–8 years of auditing experience, preferably within the insurance or reinsurance industry.

Working Hours

Full-time remote position.
