Job Summary
The Elite Job is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Senior General Ledger (GL) Accountant – Multi-Entity Consolidations to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex accounting activities across multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the monthly and year-end close processes.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in general ledger accounting, multi-entity consolidations, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting. This position requires a professional who thrives in a remote environment, demonstrates strong analytical skills, and can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across different regions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the general ledger for multiple legal entities ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Handle multi-entity consolidations, ensuring proper elimination of intercompany transactions and balances.
Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP or IFRS requirements.
Monitor and reconcile intercompany accounts, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Collaborate with finance, tax, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting across all entities.
Assist with ERP system improvements and automation initiatives to enhance financial reporting processes.
Provide insights and analysis to support strategic financial decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial consolidation processes.
Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, formulas, and financial analysis tools.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while meeting strict deadlines.
Experience
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multi-entity environment.
Proven experience with financial consolidations, intercompany accounting, and complex reconciliations.
Experience working in international or multi-subsidiary organizations is an advantage.
Prior experience supporting audit processes and financial reporting requirements.
Working Hours
This is a full-time remote position.
Standard working schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Flexible work hours may be available depending on project deadlines and team collaboration requirements.
