Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Treasury Accountant – FX & Hedge Accounting to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing treasury accounting activities with a strong focus on foreign exchange (FX) transactions, hedge accounting, and financial risk management.

You will work closely with finance, treasury, and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective management of currency exposure. This position is ideal for professionals who possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of treasury operations, and experience in international financial environments.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and account for foreign exchange (FX) transactions and related treasury activities.

Prepare and maintain hedge accounting documentation in compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).

Record and reconcile treasury-related journal entries, including derivatives and hedging instruments.

Monitor and report on currency exposure and risk management strategies.

Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to treasury operations.

Support treasury cash management processes, including bank reconciliations and liquidity reporting.

Collaborate with internal finance teams to ensure accurate treatment of hedging instruments and derivatives.

Provide analysis and insights on FX impacts on financial statements.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory requirements.

Support internal and external audits related to treasury accounting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent are preferred.

Strong understanding of foreign exchange markets and hedge accounting principles.

Proficiency in accounting systems and financial reporting tools.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.

Experience

Minimum 4–6 years of experience in treasury accounting, financial accounting, or corporate treasury.

Proven experience working with FX transactions, derivatives, and hedge accounting.

Experience in multinational organizations or global finance environments is highly desirable.

Prior exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is an advantage.

Working Hours

Full-time remote position.
