Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Senior Accountant – Solar & Renewable Energy to join our growing finance team. Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations related to solar and renewable energy projects.

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or applicable accounting standards.

Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.

Monitor project budgets, capital expenditures, and cost allocations across multiple renewable energy projects.

Reconcile complex accounts including fixed assets, project development costs, and revenue recognition.

Support financial audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

Assist in forecasting, financial planning, and analysis related to renewable energy investments.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, grants, incentives, and government programs applicable to renewable energy initiatives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Prepare financial reports and insights for senior management to support strategic decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar ERP systems.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.

Experience

Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in renewable energy, infrastructure, construction, or project-based industries.

Experience with solar energy project accounting, capital asset management, and project cost tracking is highly desirable.

Previous experience working in a remote or distributed finance team environment is an advantage.

Working Hours

Full-time remote position.

Standard working schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Flexible work hours may be available depending on project requirements and time zone coordination.
