Job Summary
The Elite Job is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Technical Accounting Manager – M&A Integration to join our dynamic finance team. This role is critical in supporting the companys strategic growth initiatives, particularly mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The Technical Accounting Manager will lead complex accounting analyses, ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, and oversee the integration of financial processes and reporting for newly acquired entities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, exceptional analytical skills, and experience managing financial integrations during acquisitions. This remote position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, operations, and executive leadership to ensure seamless financial integration and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical accounting assessments for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
Analyze complex accounting issues and prepare accounting memos related to purchase accounting, revenue recognition, and consolidation.
Manage the accounting integration process for acquired companies, including aligning accounting policies, procedures, and financial reporting frameworks.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards such as GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including auditors, legal advisors, and corporate development teams.
Support financial due diligence activities during potential acquisitions.
Oversee the preparation and review of opening balance sheets and purchase price allocations.
Develop and implement internal controls related to newly integrated entities.
Provide guidance and mentorship to accounting team members on technical accounting matters.
Monitor post-acquisition financial performance and ensure accurate reporting across the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or equivalent professional accounting certification preferred.
Strong understanding of technical accounting principles, including purchase accounting and consolidation.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards.
Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, financial modeling, and accounting systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project management and organizational abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
Minimum 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including technical accounting and financial reporting.
Proven experience supporting M&A transactions and financial integrations.
Prior experience in public accounting, consulting, or corporate finance departments is highly desirable.
Experience working with multinational or rapidly scaling organizations is a plus.
Working Hours
Full-time remote position.
Standard working schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Flexibility to collaborate across different time zones when required during transaction periods.
