Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Work From Home AR (Accounts Receivable) Specialist – Healthcare Revenue Cycle to join our remote finance and healthcare operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the accounts receivable processes related to healthcare billing, insurance claims, and revenue cycle management.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and monitor healthcare accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and minimize outstanding balances.

Perform insurance claim follow-ups with commercial payers, Medicare, and Medicaid.

Investigate and resolve denied or underpaid claims by analyzing explanation of benefits (EOBs) and payer responses.

Maintain accurate records of all billing activities and follow-up communications.

Work closely with billing teams, coders, and healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare billing standards.

Prepare and maintain reports related to AR aging, collections, and payment trends.

Identify process improvements to enhance revenue cycle efficiency.

Communicate effectively with internal teams and insurance companies regarding outstanding claims.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (preferred).

Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management and AR processes.

Proficiency with medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Experience

Minimum 2–4 years of experience in healthcare accounts receivable or medical billing.

Experience with insurance claim follow-ups, denial management, and payment posting.

Prior experience working in a remote healthcare billing or revenue cycle role is an advantage.

Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance payer guidelines.

Working Hours

Full-time remote position.

Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
