Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant – Sage Intacct Expert to join our dynamic remote finance team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who has deep expertise in Sage Intacct and a strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the companys strategic financial operations. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with finance leadership, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders while managing accounting operations in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute the month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy and efficiency.

Maintain and manage the general ledger using Sage Intacct, ensuring proper classification and documentation of transactions.

Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies when necessary.

Support accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accurate recording and reporting.

Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits.

Develop and improve financial controls and accounting procedures.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Strong proficiency in Sage Intacct accounting software.

Solid understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a remote work environment.

Experience

Minimum 5+ years of professional accounting experience.

At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Sage Intacct in a professional setting.

Prior experience in remote accounting teams or distributed work environments is preferred.

Experience handling financial audits and compliance reporting is highly desirable.

Working Hours

Full-time remote position.

Standard working schedule: Monday to Friday.

Flexible hours depending on project deadlines and financial closing cycles.

Occasional extended hours during month-end or fiscal year closing periods.
