Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fixed Asset Accountant – Telecom Infrastructure to join our remote finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the fixed asset records associated with telecom infrastructure projects, including towers, network equipment, and related capital assets.

You will work closely with finance, operations, and project management teams to ensure accurate asset capitalization, depreciation, and compliance with accounting standards. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of fixed asset accounting within large-scale infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update the fixed asset register for telecom infrastructure assets such as towers, fiber networks, and related equipment.

Record asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

Review capital expenditure documentation to ensure proper asset capitalization and classification.

Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual asset reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to track asset installations and project completion milestones.

Calculate and post depreciation entries and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Support the preparation of financial statements, audit schedules, and compliance documentation related to fixed assets.

Assist with internal and external audits by providing required asset documentation and reconciliations.

Implement process improvements to enhance asset management efficiency and data accuracy.

Monitor telecom infrastructure projects to ensure proper financial tracking and reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting principles and capital expenditure management.

Familiarity with GAAP/IFRS accounting standards related to asset capitalization and depreciation.

Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and asset tracking.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.

Experience

3–5+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on fixed asset management.

Prior experience in telecommunications, infrastructure, or capital-intensive industries is highly preferred.

Experience working with large asset portfolios or project-based asset tracking systems is advantageous.

Experience supporting financial audits and compliance processes.

Working Hours

Full-time remote position.
