The Elite Job is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Payroll Coordinator – UK & EU Payroll Specialist to join our growing global finance team. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating payroll operations across the United Kingdom and European Union regions, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing while maintaining compliance with regional tax laws and employment regulations.

As a Payroll Coordinator, you will collaborate with HR, finance teams, and external payroll providers to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time. This position is ideal for professionals with strong analytical skills, payroll system experience, and a deep understanding of UK and EU payroll frameworks. The role is fully remote, offering flexibility while working within a dynamic international environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process and coordinate end-to-end payroll for employees across the UK and EU regions.

Ensure payroll is completed accurately and on schedule in accordance with company policies and statutory regulations.

Maintain payroll records, employee compensation data, tax documentation, and benefits deductions.

Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to update salary changes, bonuses, commissions, and new employee data.

Ensure compliance with UK HMRC regulations and EU payroll legislation.

Coordinate with third-party payroll providers and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll discrepancies.

Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and financial documentation for audits and management reviews.

Monitor changes in payroll laws, tax regulations, and employment compliance requirements.

Assist with year-end payroll activities including tax forms, reporting, and statutory filings.

Support payroll-related employee inquiries professionally and promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience).

Strong understanding of UK and EU payroll regulations, tax structures, and statutory deductions.

Proficiency in payroll software systems and HRIS platforms.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial data management.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to manage confidential payroll information with integrity and professionalism.

Ability to work independently in a remote work environment.

Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably handling UK or EU payroll operations.

Experience working with multinational payroll systems or outsourced payroll vendors.

Background in remote payroll coordination or global HR/payroll teams is highly preferred.

Prior experience in finance, HR operations, or accounting environments is an advantage.

Working Hours

Fully Remote Position

Standard Monday – Friday schedule
