Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Remote Internal Auditor – IT Risk & Cybersecurity to strengthen our governance, risk management, and cybersecurity oversight. Key Responsibilities

Conduct internal audits focused on IT systems, cybersecurity controls, and information security policies.

Evaluate and test the effectiveness of IT general controls (ITGC), application controls, and security frameworks.

Identify risks related to data security, system access, cloud infrastructure, and network security.

Review compliance with regulatory standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, and GDPR where applicable.

Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations.

Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop remediation strategies and track corrective actions.

Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats and recommend proactive risk mitigation strategies.

Support enterprise risk management initiatives and contribute to strengthening internal control environments.

Participate in continuous improvement of internal audit methodologies and tools.

Present audit findings and risk insights to senior management and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Accounting, or a related field.

Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, or CIA are strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of IT risk management, cybersecurity frameworks, and audit methodologies.

Knowledge of IT infrastructure including networks, databases, operating systems, and cloud platforms.

Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings clearly.

Proficiency with audit management software and data analysis tools.

Experience

Minimum 3–6 years of experience in IT audit, information security, cybersecurity risk management, or internal auditing.

Experience auditing cloud environments, enterprise systems, and cybersecurity controls.

Previous experience in consulting firms, financial institutions, or technology-driven organizations is highly desirable.

Demonstrated experience working in remote or distributed team environments is a plus.

Working Hours

Fully remote position with flexible scheduling.

Standard work schedule of Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Occasional availability may be required for global team collaboration across time zones.
