Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Audit Senior – Life Sciences & Biotech to join our growing remote audit team. In this role, you will lead and support audit engagements for innovative companies operating within the life sciences, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors.

As a Work From Home Audit Senior, you will play a critical role in ensuring financial transparency, regulatory compliance, and high-quality audit delivery for clients ranging from emerging biotech startups to established life sciences organizations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and experience managing audit engagements in a remote or hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute audit engagements for life sciences and biotechnology clients.

Plan audit strategies, risk assessments, and internal control evaluations.

Review financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS where applicable).

Supervise and mentor junior auditors and audit associates.

Coordinate with client management to gather documentation and clarify audit findings.

Evaluate internal control systems and recommend process improvements.

Identify accounting issues specific to the biotech and life sciences sectors such as R&D expenditures, grants, licensing agreements, and revenue recognition.

Prepare audit documentation, workpapers, and final reports.

Ensure audit deadlines and deliverables are met while maintaining quality standards.

Communicate audit results and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CA preferred.

Strong understanding of auditing standards and financial reporting requirements.

Experience with audit software and financial systems.

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote work environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of public accounting or external audit experience.

Prior experience auditing life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare companies is highly preferred.

Experience supervising audit staff and managing client relationships.

Familiarity with regulatory environments affecting biotech and research-driven organizations.

Working Hours

Fully remote / work-from-home position.
