Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Remote Cost Accountant – EV Manufacturing Supply Chain to support our rapidly growing electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing clients. In this role, you will be responsible for managing cost analysis, supply chain financial tracking, and production cost optimization across EV component manufacturing and assembly processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing accounting, cost control, and supply chain financial analysis. You will collaborate closely with procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation, budgeting, and reporting while identifying opportunities for cost efficiency across the EV production lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and track manufacturing costs across EV components, battery systems, and supply chain operations.

Maintain and update cost accounting systems, including standard costing and variance analysis.

Monitor raw material, labor, and overhead costs to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Prepare monthly cost reports and production performance analyses for management.

Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to optimize vendor pricing and material usage.

Conduct inventory valuation, reconciliation, and cost allocation for manufacturing facilities.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning related to EV production and supply chain operations.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements across manufacturing workflows.

Support internal and external audits related to inventory and production costing.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company financial policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional certifications such as CMA, CPA, or equivalent are highly preferred.

Strong understanding of cost accounting principles in manufacturing environments.

Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software used in production accounting.

Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote work environment.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.

Experience

Minimum 4–7 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within manufacturing or supply chain environments.

Experience in automotive, electric vehicle, or advanced manufacturing industries is highly desirable.

Proven experience in standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management.

Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is a plus.

Working Hours

Full-time remote position.

Flexible work schedule with overlap required for global finance and operations teams.

Standard work week of 40 hours, Monday through Friday.
