Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly skilled Remote Senior Accountant – SEC Reporting & 10-K/Q Preparation to join our growing finance and accounting team. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements and regulatory filings in compliance with SEC requirements.

The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of financial reporting while collaborating closely with finance leadership, auditors, and cross-functional teams. This position requires deep knowledge of SEC reporting standards, GAAP compliance, and financial disclosures.

As a Senior Accountant, you will contribute to the companys financial integrity while helping maintain strong internal controls and supporting strategic financial initiatives in a dynamic, fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other regulatory disclosures.

Draft and maintain financial statement footnotes, MD&A sections, and supporting schedules.

Ensure financial reporting complies with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and company policies.

Coordinate with internal teams to collect financial data for quarterly and annual reporting cycles.

Work closely with external auditors and internal auditors during audits and reviews.

Assist in maintaining SOX compliance and internal control documentation.

Conduct detailed variance analysis and support financial statement preparation.

Participate in improving financial reporting processes and implementing best practices.

Support special accounting projects, including new accounting standards implementation.

Maintain accurate documentation for reporting procedures and compliance requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Strong understanding of SEC reporting regulations and U.S. GAAP.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Experience with financial consolidation and reporting systems.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong written communication skills for preparing disclosures and reports.

Ability to work independently in a remote work environment while meeting strict deadlines.

Experience

5+ years of professional accounting experience.

3+ years of SEC reporting experience in a public company or public accounting firm.

Experience preparing 10-K and 10-Q filings is strongly preferred.

Background in Big Four or large public accounting firms is considered an advantage.

CPA certification (or CPA candidate) preferred.

Working Hours

Full-time remote position.

Standard work schedule: Monday – Friday (40 hours per week).

Flexibility may be required during quarter-end and year-end reporting periods.

Collaboration across multiple time zones may occasionally be required.
