Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review multi-state corporate income tax returns and related tax workpapers.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.

Analyze and interpret state tax laws and determine the impact on the organizations tax obligations.

Manage tax provisions, tax accruals, and deferred tax calculations.

Coordinate with internal accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting related to taxes.

Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations for compliance and tax planning strategies.

Assist in responding to state tax notices, audits, and information requests.

Maintain accurate documentation of tax filings, schedules, and supporting records.

Monitor legislative and regulatory tax updates affecting multi-state operations.

Support process improvements and automation initiatives within the tax function.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent preferred.

Strong knowledge of multi-state income tax compliance and regulations.

Proficiency with tax preparation software and accounting systems.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently in a fully remote work environment.

Experience

Minimum 5–7 years of experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or tax consulting.

Working Hours
