Job Summary

The Elite Job is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Senior Accountant – NetSuite & ASC 606 Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. This role is responsible for managing complex accounting processes, ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards (ASC 606), and optimizing financial operations using NetSuite.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial reporting, revenue accounting, and ERP systems, along with the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits, and contributing to strategic financial planning within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.

Ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and maintain accurate documentation of revenue contracts.

Maintain and optimize accounting workflows within the NetSuite ERP system.

Prepare financial statements, reports, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, legal, and finance to analyze revenue contracts and determine proper accounting treatment.

Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and reconciliations.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making.

Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements to enhance financial processes.

Assist with financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting regulations, and reporting standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Strong expertise in NetSuite ERP and revenue recognition under ASC 606.

Solid knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.

High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.

Experience

Minimum 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience.

At least 3 years of hands-on experience with NetSuite.

Proven experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition and contract analysis.

Prior experience in technology, SaaS, or multinational companies is highly preferred.

Experience working in remote or distributed teams is an advantage.

Working Hours

Full-time remote position.

Flexible working hours with overlap required during standard business hours for team collaboration.

Occasional extended hours may be required during month-end or financial closing periods.
